Gronk Gets Paid

The New England Patriots and tight end Rob Gronkowski have agreed to a six-year, $54 million extension, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

So there you have it, Rob Gronkowski has signed an extension with the New England Patriots, and it rules something fierce. If Adam Schefter reports it, then 9 times out of 10, it’s true.

With a brand new contract, I am beyond jacked up to see what this kid is gonna’ do next season.

It’s nice to know the Gronk will be spiking touchdown passes in a New England uniform for at least the next 6 years. I’m also excited to see how many new languages Rob will be able to learn over the course of the contract.

You’ll be seeing him Gronk spike for 7 years technically, as it was an extension on his rookie deal. Unless of course he wants a new deal 4 years in, when he’ll be traded for 3 first round picks. I think that’s why this deal is back loaded… he won’t complain much as his yearly salary is more than then year before.
