Dumpgate: Larry Izzo gets the game ball for a discreet sideline dump, Wes Welker confirms

Wes Welker joined Dan LeBatard recently on ESPN’s Dan LeBatard is Highly Questionable. During the interview, host Dan LeBatard brought up a rumor that Larry Izzo was once awarded a game ball by Patriot’s coach Bill Belichick because he “took the Browns to the Superbowl” on the sidelines without catching anybody’s attention. Welker confirmed the statement and was bold enough to say, “I guarantee that game ball is probably a more prized item for him than his Super Bowl rings.” Makes sense, it is quite a feat if I do say so myself. See the interview for yourself below. The good stuff comes in right around the 3:15 mark.
