Patriots bring back Deion Branch, now have a S-Load of WRs

ESPN BostonThe New England Patriots reached agreement Thursday on a one-year deal with receiverDeion Branch, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Branch, who had said after the Super Bowl that he had hoped to return to the Patriots, posted this to his Twitter account shortly after the news of his new deal broke: ” It’s truly an honor and a blessing to be back with #Patriots next year. Can’t wait to get back in the swing of things.”

So the Patriots have Deion Branch, Wes Welker, Brandon Lloyd, Anthony Gonzalez, Donte Stallworth, Chad Ochocinco, and the tight ends. All of these guys have the potential to be real contributors to the Patriots this season, but some of these guys just wont fit on the roster. The question on everybody’s mind is what are they planning to do with Ochocino? He’ll be cut soon enough and Welker will be traded. Both sketchy moves, but they make the most sense from a Belichickian theory.
