CBS Boston – Danny Ainge is always active around deadline day, and this year is likely no exception. But does the Celtics’ president of basketball operations know what he wants and what constitutes a fair deal for his veteran-laden club? According to one GM, he might not, and he’s making it difficult to discuss deals prior to Thursday’s 3 p.m. deadline. “I’m through,” the unnamed GM told FOX Sports’ Sam Amico. “Done dealing with (Celtics’) Danny Ainge. Bleep him.” It sounds like you can scratch at least one team off Ainge’s list of potential trading partners for Thursday.
This sounds far too familiar to me. Everyone in my fantasy hockey league feels the same way about me as this GM feels about Danny Ainge. Always trying to steal the deal, no matter how unfair the trade is. But to be fair, Ainge and I do get some good deals done… you just have to get over the shit offers and take the good with the bad.
Forget about the fantasy hockey and what should be my first championship this yer (no big deal), all I know is Danny Ainge is a competitive mother f’er. The guy is going to try to deal, and hopefully he can pull a fast one on some other GM before the deadline. Can I get a Josh Smith?!
