ESPN Boston – For the second time in this abbreviated NBA season, the Boston Celtics have lost a player to a heart ailment. Chris Wilcox, a forward/center, will undergo aortic surgery on March 29 and miss the remainder of the season, the team announced Wednesday.
First Jeff Green is out with a bad heart, now Chris Wilcox’ ticker is hurting causing him to miss the rest of the season. Wilcox was in a normal screening and they found the cardiac irregularity. What does that mean, Chris will have heart surgery. Talk about terrible luck for the C’s. They need to start serving Cheerios on the reg. To make matters worse, Danny Ainge did not make any moves to replace the lost big man. Ouch.
