NY Daily News – [Danny] Ainge is trying to land Atlanta’s Josh Smith and other young studs, while offering up Kevin Garnett. Paul Pierce and Ray Allen can also be had, for young players and draft picks. Rajon Rondo might be leaving, too, with the Lakers and Utah seen as possible destinations.

Blow it up, blow it up. No, I’m not talking about that doll Moose just bought at Amazing.net (cheap plug), but I am talking about the Celtics’ roster. First we hear rumblings that Rondo is already checked out, now Garnett to Atlanta, and soon Ray and Pierce are out too? If you can get Josh Smith for Garnett, you pull the trigger NOW. That is the steal of all steals. I can also part with Ray, but it just wouldn’t be right if Pierce was on another team. I wasn’t opposed to the Perkins trade last year, and for the most part I like what Danny does, but if he moves Pierce I don’t know if I could forgive him. Let the guy retire with the Celtics. As fir Garnett and Ray, I love them but we can do without them. So Danny, here is my advise (which I know you want) pull the trigger on that Josh Smith deal if it is there. Do it ya filthy animal.
