Vancouver police distributed 35,000 glossy posters with photos of 104 suspected Stanley Cup rioters Wednesday.
“The 35,000 posters of our army of volunteers have been handing out have already had a major impact,” Sgt. Howard Chow said Thursday night. “We’ve been receiving tips all afternoon regarding the photos in the poster.”
Police said they have enough evidence against the 104 individuals to recommend charges against them, and that they continue to make arrests almost every day — 118 already, with 163 charges recommended against 60 people.
The riots broke out June 15 after the Bruins defeated the Canucks in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals. -WEEI
Good thing each individual picture is the size of a baseball card. But that’s what happens when the chief of police is a Canadian Asian dude.
