Bruins Beat The Bag Out Of Toronto

So ah, Boston is alive and well and I would just personally like to thank Phil Kessel for giving us Tyler Seguin. I know Kessel is having a great start to the season, good, great, grand, dare I say wonderful. However, that doesn’t change the fact that I am just not a fan of him or anything he does in general. So, the fact that Seguin had a hat-trick and Kessel looked like a sad smurf, just about made my damn day.

This is exactly the kind of game that the Bruins needed. A nice road game against a Toronto team, who has been playing well as of late. The highlight of the game was Tyler Seguin. The goal where he batted the puck out of mid-air was just beautiful. That hand-eye coordination is absolutely unreal. Because I myself have trouble getting food to my mouth on occasion. I can’t even comprehend batting a puck out of mid-air, while skating, and getting it on net. Tip of the cap to you, Tyler. He looked good, and I mean real good.

The Bruins, as a whole, played sound hockey. They hit, they scored, they were accountable in their own zone. Big win, great win, for the Black and Gold. Hopefully they can build off a game like this and get back up to speed.

3 Stars

1). Tyler Seguin

The kid continues to impress. Tyler Seguin came out and said, “I’m gonna put the team on my back and show these Leafs how it’s done.” Now that may not be an entirely accurate quote. In fact, I know it’s not because I just made it up. But to me, that is exactly what he would have said before this game. He put the team on his back and he did show the Leafs how the game is played. He had a beautiful one-timer PP goal. After his highlight goal in the 2nd, you just knew the hat-trick was coming, and call me a monkey’s uncle, he got that trick, at the end of the 2nd period. So suck on that Toronto, and Phil Kessel for that matter.

2). Milan Lucic

Lucic had a fantastic hockey game. He was skatin’ his ass off and he was all around the biscuit. He had a nice breakaway goal in the 2nd to stick the dagger in even further, as Boston dominated the 2nd period. Lucic later scored in the 3rd period on a great pass from David Krejci. It’s nice to see this kid hustling. When Lucic is moving, he is more physical, and when he is more physical, he produces. It’s science.

3). Tim Thomas

Timmy T does it again. He gets his first shutout of the season, in style. Timmy was rockin’ a new and obscene helmet of himself sporting a ridiculous mustache. Is there a better helmet out there? If there is, I don’t wanna know about it. He made saves like it was his job last night. He might have looked blah early on in the year, but he has been putting some games together as of late. Beware, the mustache is coming back.
