Waiver Wire Wednesday

Who’s looking good this week? Is there someone who’s available in most leagues that you should get? Julian Edelman anybody? The sleeper that never produced but loves grabbing chicks who don’t want to be grabbed?  OK maybe not, but let’s take a look at week 9 shall we.

We all know the Patriots looked like garbage. But, you know who didn’t look like garbage in their first game back? Kevin Faulk. And you best believe I picked him up in all my leagues. I love the Law Firm, Benjarvus Green-Ellis, but he doesn’t have the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield like Faulk does. On the flip side, the Steelers showcased two speedy receivers not named Mike Wallace.  Antonio Brown played pissed off, and Emmanuel Sanders showed he can fly as well. Those guys could be helpers if some people are on bye-weeks.

Jonathan Baldwin, who? The Kansas City Chiefs rookie who torched San Diego, that’s who. This kid made some plays Monday Night. Jake Ballard is another guy who I picked up, only because Brandon Pettigrew is on a bye. I hate playing people against the Patriots, but Ballard has become somewhat of a part of the Giants offense. I like him as a bye-week fill in. The Bengals defense is playing some pretty damn good football. They have the Titans this week. Chris Johnson could break out, or he could look like a bag of trash like he has been all year. The Texans defense also has a pretty good draw this week against the injured Cleveland Browns. They might also be a solid play.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh is back. Carson Palmer called for it, and the Raiders answered. It’s an curious move, the Raiders are coming off a bye so it will be interesting to see how these two look together again. Good luck and god speed. Also, don’t forget to play a kicker like I did last week. I lost by 1-point. One lousy friggin’ point.
