Ray Lewis Says Crime Will Increase Without The NFL

“One of the consequences of a lost NFL season will be an increase in crime, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis said in a wide-raging one-on-one interview with ESPN.
‘Do this research if we don’t have a season — watch how much evil, which we call crime, watch how much crime picks up, if you take away our game,’ Lewis told ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio.
That’s because, Lewis said, the NFL lockout affects ‘way more than us’ — the owners and the players.
‘There’s too many people that live through us, people live through us,’ he said. ‘Yeah, walk in the streets, the way I walk the streets, and I’m not talking about the people you see all the time.’
When asked why he thought crime would increase if the NFL doesn’t play games this year, Lewis said: ‘There’s nothing else to do Sal.’”

I’ve walked the streets the way that Ray Lewis walks the streets and I gotta say, he may be onto something here. There’s no other way to put it, people are idiots. We rob, cheat, steal, and even bake muffins. We’re a disgusting breed, but goddamn we are so good at being numero uno that it’s somewhat laughable. Try to name another mammal or reptile that can do what we do. Dolphins? Lizards? Hump Back Whales? No sir, none of them can walk erect and build stadiums in the same capacities. And unfortunately, none of them can hold up convenience stores or mug the elderly with a used steak knife like us either.
So to have the one thing taken from us, Football, which brain washes us every Sunday, Monday, and sometimes Thursdays, not be in effect, is somewhat a recipe for disaster. I mean just think of all the gambling degenerates that now have to aim their focuses on something other than the over/under lines. And think of all the drunken idiots that will now have to waste their Sundays in some other form or fashion. It’s not good for you, it’s not good for me, and it’s not good for the entire human population. Bottom line, people better start building bomb shelters like Christopher Walken from “Blast From The Past” and heading underground, because things are about to take a turn for the worst without the NFL.
