Gronk Gets Paid

The New England Patriots and tight end Rob Gronkowski have agreed to a six-year, $54 million extension, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. -ESPN.com/Boston

So there you have it, Rob Gronkowski has signed an extension with the New England Patriots, and it rules something fierce. If Adam Schefter reports it, then 9 times out of 10, it’s true.

With a brand new contract, I am beyond jacked up to see what this kid is gonna’ do next season.

It’s nice to know the Gronk will be spiking touchdown passes in a New England uniform for at least the next 6 years. I’m also excited to see how many new languages Rob will be able to learn over the course of the contract.

  1. You’ll be seeing him Gronk spike for 7 years technically, as it was an extension on his rookie deal. Unless of course he wants a new deal 4 years in, when he’ll be traded for 3 first round picks. I think that’s why this deal is back loaded… he won’t complain much as his yearly salary is more than then year before.
