The Bruins have acquired Chris Bourque, the son of Bruins legend, Ray Bourque. The kid has been bouncing around the AHL for the last few years, but maybe a stop in Boston is just what the doctor ordered for him to start making some noise. Bourque signed a 2-year-contract with the B’s which will carry over to the 2014 season.
He played some college puck over at Boston University. He is a very skilled player and hopefully he shows something early on in training camp to warrant him getting some burn with the big club. I bet Ray is pretty jacked up to see his son play for the team he loves.
He led the AHL in scoring last season with 27 goals and 66 assists. -ESPN.com/Boston.
The Bruins also resigned Daniel Paille. Paille is freakin’ man. This guy is a great role player and a valuable penalty killer for the Black and Gold. He has speed for days and brings effort night in and night out. It’s nice to see Paille get rewarded with a 3-year-contract.
